For the Sequential Artists Workshop (Gainesville, FL), I facilitate both online and in-person, focusing on graphic memoir, story-telling, and project management. Join me and a wonderful group of working graphic memoirists there! New courses enrolling all the time!
Other events include workshops for libraries (including teaching a group of 8-year olds about zine-making), community groups, Graphic Medicine’s Draw Together, the local Big Read, and LGBTQ support centers, as well as college lectures, panel discussions (including the American Library Association, the Brooklyn Book Festival, FlameCon, and SPX), and more!
I co-led a workshop with Tom Hart at the 2022 Graphic Medicine conference (Chicago, IL) on using abstract imagery and memory to create a mini-zine.

Other Consulting
In other aspects of my work, I have served as a consultant with the Hope College Office of Possibilities and co-facilitate workshops on human-centered design and innovation.
I also served as the Online Pedagogy Coach and Consultant at Hope College (Holland, MI). I led private, small group, and public live workshops on various aspects of online pedagogy for liberal arts college teachers working to help students thrive (before and during the pandemic!).
…and many other workshops in creative writing, creative pedagogy, and online pedagogy delivered to the general public, retirement communities, and educators.
